JUDr. THU NGA HAŠKOVCOVÁ, PhD., is setting up her own law firm
Prague, 19 April 2010 –The former founding partner of the law firm bpv Braun Haškovcová, JUDr. Thu Nga Haškovcová, Ph.D., has decided to leave bpv to set up her own practice. Her closest colleagues from bpv have also left bpv to join the new law firm, Haskovcova&Co.
“I decided to resolve the differences between myself and some other partners at bpv regarding further business development and future development of the practice, which had existed for some time, by my departure and the initiation of an independent law firm”, says Thu Nga Haškovcová and adds: “In my view, this is the only possible and reasonable solution in order to maintain the highest quality of services for our clients”.
JUDr. Thu Nga Haškovcová, Ph.D. has made a significant contribution to the to date success of the law firm bpv, from which she has now departed. bpv was founded by Thu Nga Haškovcová together with Arthur Braun in 2006, when they took over the former legal team of the extinguishing Haarmann Hemmelrath.
Thu Nga Haškovcová has been living in the Czech Republic for nearly twenty years now. Apart from her native Vietnamese, she is proficient in Czech, English, German, Russian and French. She studied law at the Law Faculty of Moscow State Institute for International Relations and at the Law Faculty of the Charles University in Prague. She is currently studying the Executive MBA programme for managers at the prestigious London Business School. Thu Nga Haškovcová has also been a member of the Appeal Commission of the Czech National Bank for several years now. In the years 1999-2001 she worked as an offshore lawyer in the Singapore branch office of the former law firm Haarmann Hemmelrath.
In her practice, Thu Nga Haškovcová primarily advises on real estate, Mergers &Acquisitions, project financing and corporate law. She has written numerous articles published in various law journals.

We are looking to build a leading boutique firm, which offers high quality services, as well as a very personal approach, not only to its clients, but also to its employees. Presently, we would like to focus primarily on our existing core competencies in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions, real estate law, project financing and corporate law. Further, I would like to utilize my commerical knowledge from my current MBA studies in order to build up a law firm, with which I can fully identify myself,“ concludes JUDr. Haškovcová.
